The Suntory Yamazaki Distillery, established in 1923 in the outskirts of Kyoto, is the birthplace of Japanese whisky. Founded by Shinjiro Torii, this pioneering distillery sits at the confluence of three rivers, providing the ideal humid climate and pristine water for whisky maturation. Its single malts have garnered numerous international awards and helped put Japanese whisky on the world map.
